The last weeks and months have been a very rough time for the Dev and Admin team.
As all of you have noticed there have been several incidents concerning game security and bug exploits.
Once again the Dev and Admin team spends all time on dealing with cheaters, multimages and other ‘unfriendly persons’. No time is left to develop any game features any further.
After long discussions and negotiations we have to announce the shutdown of all servers for the time being.
We don’t see any chance to provide a fair game to the community anymore. It’s a sad day after 3 years of hard work and hours over hours of spare time spend on this project.
We would like to thank all supporters and friends of The Reincarnation.
It has been a great time!!!
But still there is hope.
In the last weeks we had several net-meetings, and even a rl meeting with representatives of Blizzard Entertainment and today we can announce the closure of an agreement for a takeover of The Reincarnation by Blizzard Entertainment.
Blizzard has agreed to continue the webservice of The Reincarnation and will develop a fantasy strategy PC game based on The Reincarnation. Similar to World of Warcraft there are plans to launch multiplayer online server for the PC version of The Reincarnation.
Transferring the game to its new owners and some major reprogramming will take time though, making it impossible to announce a relaunch date at this point.

All servers will be closed 1st April 2006 10pm server time.
UBB will stay open till 15th April 2006.

I feel so sad....so sad indeed. I really love this game. Hell to those people who abused the game. But then again...taken over by Blizzard? That's somehow a new window being opened.
Then again, it is April Fool's Day. I wonder if it is really true or not.
